The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at An-Najah National University, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), organized an Information Day on the application process for investment support in agri-food businesses. The event was held within the framework of the project “Green Jobs and Sustainable Income Opportunities for Palestinian Youth in the Agri-Food Sector – Phase II”, funded by the Government of Denmark and implemented by FAO in partnership with several Palestinian universities.
Dr. Khawla Najoum and Eng. Intisar Ishtayeh from FAO provided a detailed presentation on the application mechanism, as well as the evaluation and selection criteria, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the process.
The project targets young graduates and student participants, aiming to empower both male and female youth by providing financial support and training to develop innovative agri-food and green value chain projects.
The session also showcased the success stories of An-Najah graduates Eng. Mohammad Khudair, Eng. Suzan Yaqoub, and Eng. Lama Omar, who shared their experiences in securing support for their entrepreneurial projects in the agri-food sector.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine team, including Dr. Ola Anabtawi, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Qubaj, Dr. Ahmad Za’zou’, and Eng. Musab Al-Sheikh.
